Shurikens are projectiles that typically used to kill low-health mobs like rats and bats. It does less damage that other weapons, but has a significantly faster throwing rate. When combined with a weapon upgrade, it can be used to quickly clear out a large number of swarming mobs, like bats. Shurikens are also useful to against Soulless Pyro as they can destroy their bombs.
